Improv Cram Age Requirement

The Improv Cram Session is being provided for those students who do not have a Beginning Improv class and would like to qualify for the Advanced Improv class offered this winter. The winter class, offered in Vancouver, Vancouver East and Portland, is a pre-requisite to auditioning for the Improvathon Teams.

Students must be ages 12-18 to participate in the Cram Session, Advanced Improv this winter and to audition for the Improvathon Teams.

Improv Cram Session

Teachers: Steve Williams & Jon Jacquet

Dates: Dec. 7, 9, 14 & 16

Time: 5-9pm

Cost: $40 per student

Location: Crossroads Community Church Ministry Center

Open to anyone wanting to hone your Improv skills or those who need Improv 1 (Beg. Improv) as a pre-req to take Improvathon next session.

Showcase Tonight

Our showcase in Vancouver East is tonight, 7:00 PM at Lifepoint Church (305 NE 192nd Ave). Doors open for seating at 6:50.

Kids still come at 5:00 for their last class. There will be an opportunity before class begins for them to purchase slices of pizza for $1.50 to eat at our regular break. If you do not purchase pizza please send a snack for your child.

This week we are able to enter the church parking lot off of 192nd. Turn in just past the new Costco gas station and then shortly down that road, turn left into the church parking lot.

Design a t-shirt for CYT!

CYT students are submitting t-shirt designs that will be made into shirts and given as prizes to everyone who submits 10 stamped letters in our winter Letter Writing Campaign (late January/early February)!

What to do:

Submit your design - up to 4 colors - via email (b.larson@cytvanport.org) by November 20th.

CYT students will vote on the designs.

2nd & 3rd runners up - $25

Showcase!

Mark your calendar and invite your friends! Vancouver East Class Showcase is Tuesday, November 9th, 7:00 PM, at Lifepoint Church, 305 NE 192nd Avenue. Showcase is free and fun!

Classes on Showcase day still begin at 5:00. Doors open for the Showcase at 6:50.

We will be selling pizza to students during their class break for $1.50 a slice. If you do not purchase pizza be sure and send a snack/dinner with your student.

We will have a drawing each class day at break from all the names of student ticket sellers in Vancouver East from the previous week! Remember, sell tickets and earn CYT bucks and prizes! Tickets to all CYT Van/Port shows are on sale now!

123 Movie Night!!!

1 Night – 2 Movies – $3.00

HYPE's 123 Movie Night is TONIGHT, 6:00pm at First Church of God in Room 120.

Come join us, for two family friendly movies and lots of fun!

Bring a blanket, your pillow and come in your PJ's! Popcorn and Water come with admission. We will be selling extra snacks for $1.00. You must be currently enrolled in CYT to attend.

Parents- Please bring your child(ren) in and make sure we have your phone number. Thanks!

Our CYT Participation Standards have been revised. A copy is available through the link below. Everyone is encouraged to review these guidelines, especially returning families that were familiar with the previous guidelines. Audition Workshop

WOW! 94 kids will be at Audition Workshop tomorrow
from 10am-12pm
at First Church of God 3300 NE 78th Street, Vancouver, WA

Meet in Room 120
Drive around the back of building and enter downstairs.

Wear comfortable clothes and closed toed shoes- be prepared to move.
Bring a water bottle.

First Class Day

Tuesday, September 7th is our first class day in Vancouver East!

Remember to bring your completed Medical Release Form and Behavior Contract.

We will start at 5:00 with a meeting for everyone in the sanctuary. We will cover important class session information and, if you are planning to audition (which we hope you are!), this meeting will also have important details about upcoming show auditions.

After kids go to class we will have a "parent meeting" to cover show stuff for parents and share some goodies together.
